Friday 31st August

Beginners jumping

This was a great morning for the children who had not entered a jumping competition before. After getting rid of their nerves during the clear round jumping, we went on to see some very well ridden rounds. One of our best rounds was ridden by Leah on Cherry who unfortunately got 4 faults in the 1st round. Our other exceptional rider was Shannon who rode Holly. This was Holly's first time over a full course, so well done to Shannon for choosing Holly to ride. Each round we saw an improvement with this horse. In the main competition we only had 4 clear rounds, and the results were as follows:

  1. Yasmin on Ben                Clear in 18:75
  2. Huw on Peanuts            4 Faults in 23:47
  3. Anghaard on Peanuts    8 Faults in 22:28
  4. Molly on Copper            8 Faults in 30:54

Mon 16th October

The first of our winter series started and what a great competition to start with.

Everyone rode so well, and Twiglet who has only been with us 4 weeks won the high section, very well ridden by Bella Noakes. Also congratulations to Lewis Buckley for winning our lower section with one of our old timers, "Bracken".

Monday 13th November

Another exciting competition with Ben winning both sections.

It was lovely to see Apple competing in her first competition, and each round improving and looking more like our old Coral. Congratulations especially to Chloe for winning the lower section, Amelia for winning the higher section and Apple's riders. Well done also to  all the other riders who competed.

4th December

A very slow lower course this month, with Sophie Lennon winning the competition with one of the two clear rounds.

The higher section was more exciting with Bella Noakes winning with Emile Frearson coming a close second.

1st January

We were lucky to have a very mild afternoon and saw some excellent jumping, although we seemed to have a few sleepy heads! (parents not the children)

5th February

An exciting evening finale with Abbie just beating Bella by a few seconds. The lower section was won by Pippa Robinson with ease, so we look forward to seeing her compete next season in the higher section.

5th March

As always one of the most entertaining competitions we hold. Top score, where each fence is worth a value and the riders have 45 seconds to get as many points as they can. We had some very daring people who jumped the joker which is worth 200 pts if it is cleared but the only fence that loses 200 pts if knocked down.

Full results of this competition and the championship found in the link on the left "2007 Winter Championship".
